Raytheon, the company of arms of the United States, has announced that it is working on an iPhone application to use in the battlefield. One will be called Force Tracker and will use the full potential of the device to allow the soldiers to see a highly detailed map of their location, stay current on that of their peers and communicate with them safely.
One Force Tracker will not be the only application of this company: you will create software that can translate the language used by all the affected civilians in the war and also programs that fail to recognize, from a photo taken with the iPhone previously, some suspects.
This sudden interest for programming has different motivations. The most interesting, perhaps, lies in the difference in price will create an application for a device already on the market and create one from scratch. Everything is also made more accessible by the excellent operating system installed on the iPhone and, above all, its extreme ease of use.
